Hi all,
Have just arrived at the lion park after a long journey. Didn't sleep at all on the flight and roadworks trippled my transfer time to the park. Is swelting hot, too hot to be without shorts! Still to resolve that one...
Just saw the zebra and a giraffe tho!!!
Having a quick bite then off to club world before getting my orientation.
See ya soon.

Hi Tarzzakelly,
It was the best time of my life!
I travelled there alone - the first time I have travelled so far by myself and having the reassurance of i-to-i's in-country team being there for me made it so much easier. They are the guys who would pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the park, take you on safari and be there if you needed any support when you were there. And they are just brilliant. Mike is the man and he is such a star! He looks after you like one of his own (even brings chocs for snacks on safari, bless him!).
I hung out with the other volunteers and the park employees in my spare time - we went on a few nights out (I'd def recommend Montecasino and Carnivores). I also did my blog on the i-to-i site which was really easy to use, it allowed me to remember all the best times I had there and was great for friends wanting to find out what adventures you got up to (and was actually quite relaxing too...). It's all on campfire if you want to have a squiz - would let you see what a typical day looks like there.
Rod Stewart - he and all the family came to the park one day, did a game drive, played with some of the cubs and had lunch in the visitors centre with all the other visitors! Was a crazy mental day but so great to meet him (being a fellow Scot I'm a fan!).
Post me a msg if you have any other queries, happy to help.
