Right here goes. Not really sure what to say but i'll give it my best shot...

I can not really pin down the moment i decided to pick a trip with i-to-i. All I knew was I am getting to an age of 29 where I should be settling down, getting a mortgage and finding Mr right. But I had the travelling bug in me and I had started to volunteer for a charity in Southampton and loved giving something back.

I logged on line and booked it. Tanzania sounded the perfect place and i-to-i have some amazing trips to choose from something for everyone. I didn't know any one before i set off but i had chatted to esther and Ally from Australia and Katie from London. i-to-i will put you in touch with people booked on your trip - its great ! My friend helped me pack my back pack and I was off!

The trip was amazing truely life changing and I will never be able to put into words what perfect memories I have made.

I spent the four weeks working in a school in the morning and an orphange in the afternoon. The kids and the teachers are great and we learnt so much from them. I had no teaching experience but as long as you have enthusiam and a passion to help and make people smile, you have the key to succes out there.

My trip was mixed up with in a 4 day safari which was out of this world and a trip to the island of Zanzibar this was our time to truely relax and reflect on the past 3 weeks hard work

I made best friends for life when I was out there which I never expected. best friends who I can travel with. I feel very lucky to have met those people.

I have booked my next trip to Costa Rica with i-to-i to teach for 4 weeks then travelling to Mexico and Peru with my new friends I met in Africa. Next month I am changing my job so this gives me the opportunity to work in a school one day a week so I can apply for university next year for a teaching degree.

Before I left for Africa I did not have much direction in life, I feel like I have found myself and my whole outlook on life has changed for the better. I would not change my experience for the world and any one thinking of booking a trip please please do it, make it happen!
