Even the Prime Minister has given gap years the thumbs up! David reckons he wouldn't be where he is today without a year out for reflection and growth! Hello fellow travellers
So I've canned my job, going to rent my flat and going off travelling for a year in Africa.
I have created the following itinerary. For anyone who has been to Africa - what are your thoughts/ advice on the following ...
1. Fly from London to Mombasa - 5 weeks community project with i-to-i
2. Fly from Nairobi to Madagascar - 3 weeks exploring the island
3. Fly to Johannesburg - 1 month to Cape Town
4. Overland tour with Intrepid from Cape Town to Victoria Falls (includes Namibia,Zimbabwe and Botswana)
5. 3 weeks for travel through Zimbabwe, Mozambique and into Nairobi
6. Overland tour with Intrepid (Gorilla trek) including Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania - ends in Zanzibar
7. Fly from Zanzibar to Congo - four months volunteer work with NGO
8. ... not sorted out the end yet.
