Hi, I'm going to Moshi in April (Community work, Wildlife and Beaches) which I know is a couple of months yet but I'm starting to think about what I'll need to take with me....Do I need a sleeping bag? Will I need the first aid kit equipped for every major disaster known to man that my mother is already frantically offering me?! And how cold will it get at night? Any advice on packing would be much appreciated!! Thanks, Rosie |

Hi Rosie, It's good that you're thinking about these things already, it's good to travel when you're fully prepared! Regarding your questions about what to pack, you don't need a sleeping bag for this trip although, if you are planning on doing any individual traveling, you probably will need one but for this trip you don't. A first aid kit is not necessary but you we would recommend bringing basic travel medicines, painkillers, diarrhea pills etc. However everything is available in Tanzania as well so if you forget something or need anything, our team can help you with buying things. In April it could be fairly cold in Tanzania so you should take some jumpers with you just in case. Bedding is provided through out your stay and they do have blankets as well if you need it. Regarding your volunteer work, we would recommend packing clothes that are not to revealing e.g. long trousers, long t-shirts or t-shirts that are not revealing (like the i-to-i t-shirt). I hope this helps but if you do have any questions, you can always get in contact with us! Best wishes, Stoewie

With the fact that it's cold in Tanzania, this is for the evenings/nights ;) |
