I recently booked for September, I'm going alone! Is anyone else going to be in Tanzania in September?

Howdi! I've been trying to decide on a trip for weeks but was thinking of booking this trip in August 2011. It could well be September though if I need to extend my work contract to pay for it! :) This would be my first time in Africa and volunteering aboard so very excited and nervous. How are you two?

Also, just wondering what prices everyone has got for flights on here? I'm looking to fly from Manchester on 6th August the back on 3rd September. Most flight are around £500/£400. Did anyone get any help from i-to-i on booking this and what prices did you get? Sorry for all the questions :)

Hey Vicky, not sure exactly how much my flights were as I booked and paid for my flights and trip all in one go through STA travel. They work with i-to-i i think so they sorted my itinery and helped by booking me a few extra nights in the volunteer house as I'm getting there a bit early for the start date and staying an extra night at the end too i think. Go in october!! That's when I'll be there and haven't found anyone else going then yet! :)
I've never been to this area of africa before either, and have never travelled alone so a bit nervous but really excited too.....have you booked anything yet?

Hi everyone, I am so pleased I have found this thread - I have booked on to the Wildlife, Beaches and Community work in September and wanted to see if I could find anyone else who was going! From reading this it looks like I'll be doing the trip with emiry and will meet hellsbells for a bit too! Looking forward to meeting you both. Did you end up booking anything Vicky?

I will be arriving in Moshi 17th Sept for 6 weeks, climbing Mt Kili and going to Zanziba. Will anyone else be in those areas. Hope to meet some of you :)
