Campfire is i-to-i's Travel community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!
Q: What is i-to-i campfire? A: It's the online community of the meaningful travel specialists i-to-i.com
Alreet!
I was always going to do some form of travelling when I had finished Uni but it was only about 4 months ago that I'd even thought about teaching. Now I'm sat in an internet cafe in Shanghai after deciding to go to China with i-to-i in partnership with Teach Travel China. This is the official blog for the TTC China trip and hopefully will give you some idea of what it's like!
Hmm that wasn't really about me per se so...
I'm 22, just finished a Classics degree at Leeds University and love skiing, snowboarding and martial arts. I'm also from the greatest place in the world aka Yorkshire :)

Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHi Craig, I'm just about to head out to China with the new batch on interns. How are you getting on? Now that you've almost finished what did you think of it?
Thanks in advance, Adam
Hi Craig, Just read your blog and your trip sounds amazing! I'm sure you hear this a lot, but I'm interested in the China inernship and was hoping you could give me a little more information about it. How livable is the wage provided? What are the living conditions like for you guys? What are some things you wish you'd known before going? Anyway, thanks in advance for any info!
Mindy
Hey,
i-to-i is telling me that you're currently teaching in China? I'm going in April and I was just wondering about dress code whilst teaching. I'm teaching at a uni and the dress I would presume to be smart casual... but for Chinese standards, what's that exactly? I'm hoping to get away with jeans but i dont want to be disrespectful...
thanks heaps and hope you're having an awesome time! pauline
Hiya
Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 4th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Hi Craig,
I have been reading your blog and it is brilliant. A really good insight into the China Internship. Make sure you keep the journal entries coming!
Shelly
Hi Craig, has been great reading about your experiences in China. I'm going there to do the internship in February, rather excited! Just wanted to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind? Did you book your flight ticket before you got your visa? And what is your accomodation like?
Is it like you expected? I have no idea really what to expect! Especially as you don't find out where you are based until you are there. I think thats quite a good idea really :)
Thanks :)
Alice
Hey Sam, yeh I remember, seems like ages ago now though! Should be getting some photo's up soon, the computers I have access to aren't great though...
Craig
Hi Craig!
I was on your TEFL course with Honor back in July! How are you finding your trip? Make sure you get lots of pictures!
Good Luck!
Sam
Hey Gip, didn't have time to do as much as I'd planned on the blog I'll do one in a few days that tells you more about the teaching.
Just about to do a blog Gip so I will cover all your questions in that!
