Hey all,
I'm taking the biggest trip of my life this summer. 2.5 months in South East Asia. I touch down in Bangkok May 26. This leaves me about a week to explore the city and make my way to Cambodia where I want to visit the Angkor Wat temples. I'll be flying solo at this point, so if anyone else has the desire to visit Cambodia at this time let me know!! I have to fly back to Bangkok June 4 to start my Elephant and Mountain Adventure. Super stoked about this, especially after everything I've read on this site. When this ends June 25 I'll be traveling alone again for about a week. My plan is to go to Koh Tao and enjoy the beach and do a SCUBA certification class. I'm then off to Ho Chi Minh City on July 4 to start the Vietnam Adventure tour. When that ends July 31, I think I have one more week left before I head home. Definitely gonna make it a beach week! If you are going to be in the same area at the same time, let me know. It would be great to have travel companion, especially during the times I am not on a tour.

I suggest that you go to Cat Ba Island - near Ha Long Bay but less tourists. you can join rock climbing, kayaking or trekking in the forest. If you dont want to be on a tour, I will show you how to get there. Otherwise, you can visit Ba Be National Park or Cuc Phuong National Park, Ho Chi Minh trail, or Sapa...

Hey Phil,
Glad to hear you'll be joining me on the Vietnam adventure! I'll be sticking around in Hanoi after the trip ends as well. I haven't decided what I want to do yet. Maybe head to an area with a beach for a little rest and relaxation before I head home. Anyway, good to hear there will be a familiar face in the area. Yeah, I'll have done over a month in Thailand before Vietnam and I'll give you all the pointers you need. See you in a couple of months!

I'm Phil I'll be on the Vietnam trip at the same time. I have a few spare days after the trip, That I'm looking at staying in a Hanoi Hostel for this time however I havn't booked anything yet before jetting over to Thailand for the Thai adventure (hopefully you'll be able to give me some tips about Thailand)
