Short and sweet... I'm Maria! Also know as Bubblegirl, a term devised somewhere between Miami and San Diego - Live in a bubble of almost eternal happiness most of the time, burst it tho & I tend to explode spectacularly.... a little like a volcano (termed devised on a rainy nite in a cocktail bar in the lovely Belfast). Ireland's home & although I love it to pieces I spend most of my time plotting the next escape round the world!
We've been sending people to volunteer in Africa, Asia, Australasia...
I've been to Honduras, Kenya and Uganda with i-to-i, 26...
Well... Im a 22yr old male living in Nottingham (UK)...

Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 4th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

hiya, I don't know how I'd pick between the two trips really! You can definitly go with as many people as you can drag along! We have a capacity of 20 on the costa rica trip and 15 on the tanzania trip.
Regarding the best time to go - have a look on the actual page of the website so for example http://www.i-to-i.com/volunteer-projects/ultimate-tanzania.html then click on a tab called 'country information' on the left and there's a whole load of useful info there! best wishes,
Katie
Hi Bubblegirl! I know exactly what you mean about the amount of trips there are! I like the newer trips which have aspects of community work plus a tour and safari like in Tanzania http://www.i-to-i.com/volunteer-projects/community-work-and-wildlife-safari-tanzania.html or there's one in Costa Rica where you build houses (not just for guys don't worry!) and tour a volcano, have a hot springs disco and go to the beach! Yikes! The Ultimate trips are fab tho so I'm glad you've entered the competition :) I'll vote for you! Let me know if you need any advice - Kenya and Uganda were both amazing, Uganda came first so it was always going to be a tough act to follow...you never forget your first love and I fell in Love with Uganda. It's such an amazing destination. Enough tourists to feel safe but not so many that you feel like you're on a conveyor belt :) Ask away my friend! Katie
Pretty please vote for my blog... as I realise I have entered sooo late I may never catch up on many of the other amazing blogs out there! Please help xx
