Best beer in the world

Thankfully beer is truly a global drink (in some form or other) but what is the best in the world. Obviously Tetley's is untouchable so I guess the question should be:

Which country has the best beer in the world?

Without a doubt, Black Butte Porter from Deschutes Brewery in Oregon is the finest brew I have ever consumed. No other comes close.

Probably because the stuff's so damn cheap that you drink gallons of it

Only problem is you may have to ditch your pint rather quickly if the police come sniffing round!

A Beer Hoi hangover is like no other...

Vietnam is a great place all round isn't it - can't beet an evening at a Bia Hoi (sic) with teh draft beer, great snacky fish / nibbles and lots of sociable locals encouraging you to try the beer and different food.

I really liked Larue Export in Vietnam

Tennents!?! That's guaranteed to have you pointing and swearing at the pavement.

Tennents from Scotland!

Red Stripe from Jamaica

Nile beer - Uganda, strong and tasty which is always nice...

How about Beer Chang from Thailand - might sponsor a dodgy football team but a great malty lager

Keo in Cyprus or Piton in Caribbean for me.

I'll go with Theakston's Dark, Staropramen, "proper" Irish Guinness, or Tetley's Cask

Theakston's Old Peculiar or John Smith's Cask any day of the week! I'd definitely try an African brew though, will do that one day!

Can't beat a pint of Timmy Taylor's Landlord. If you are around Skipton, wash your sandwiches down with a nice pint of 'Golden Pippen'!

Perhaps the question should be simply - which are the best beers in Yorkshire.
As you're from Yorkshire - come and join the Yorkshire Travellers Society

Personally i've never tried Kenyan beer, and I wasn't really a fan of Australian when I went there. I like a lot european beers and most recently Czech and Polish ones are going down a treat.

Being from Yorkshire, my favourite when I'm in the mood is a pint of Black Sheep to wash down a nice steak and kidney pie.
