About Me
Hi, I'm working for the i-to-i team in Toronto! I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario (for the hockey fans- Chris Pronger is from my hometown). I've studied, taught and volunteered overseas and now I'm happily helping like-minded individuals escape the normal routine and experience meaningful travel! Where are you going next? Thanks, I wouldn't mind some suggestions regarding medical/ travel insurance. I'm still under my ex's medical plan for a few years, but the company he works for is tinkering on the edge of collapse, so I think it'd be good to investigate my own coverage! I haven't booked my flight yet (still waiting for the letter of invitation so I can then apply for the visa - and THEN buy the ticket) but I'm to be in Beijing on August 19, so am thinking I would need to depart on the 17th (?)....

Hi Brittany, You had sent me a comment back on June 4 - sorry for taking so long to acknowledge it! My computer died again at the end of May and I just got it back last week. In the meantime, I`d bought a laptop - which had problems after one week....! Completing my courses was therefore challenging, to say the least! BUT, I`ve finished all of them - yay! - and am now focusing on needles, looking for medical insurance, packing up things, etc....
Hey! Yeah i'd love to post some pictures or whatever needed. Its been amazing here in Uganda, did the gorillas, nile river and the other attractions here. I went to Ghana last year for a month which was amazing as well. Ill keep in touch when I get back to Canada. Cheers.

Hey Brittany, My friend and I are volunteering in Arequipa Peru this June and plan on backpacking through Peru and Ecuador for an additional 2 months. I was wondering if you have any pervious experience traveling through South America or have any advice for us (ie. where to go and where to stay). Thanks
P.S. I haven't heard where I'll be in China yet. I've indicated that I have no preference. Let the chips fall where they may and the adventure begin! :-)
Hi Brittany,
I'm so glad i-to-i will have a Canadian face, eh? ;-) I LOVE i-to-i. I love the sometimes brutal, but much appreciated, honesty about everything to do with the placements. I felt that other companies who offer similar things were sanitizing their testimonials. Don't ever change, i-to-i! I've only gotten the first module of my course done because my computer died and was away for 3 weeks getting repaired, but I'm getting back into the course this week. I do plan to post pictures and send updates once in China. If I can figure out how, I'm thinking of having my own blog. We'll see.
