Campfire is i-to-i's Travel community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!
Q: What is i-to-i campfire? A: It's the online community of the meaningful travel specialists i-to-i.com
I'm 31 from Bridgend, South Wales. Born in Oslo, Norway.
I am a bit of an Iron Maiden fanatic, a West Ham United supporter, and I love American Football (Jets and Steelers) and Ice Hockey (Cardiff Devils, NJ Devils, Montreal and Philly).
Last 10 years have been rubbish, and I've not settled at any career. Gone from one thing to another, and had some hard times (as we all have) which result in me now trying to reshape my future by doing a TEFL. I want to try and make a career out of teaching abroad, and go somewhere different every two years or something...adventure, challenges and cultures! I haven't finished it yet though (haven't even started...but it's paid for!). I still need to get back into regular work to get money, but it's proving very difficult at this economicaly bad time.
I'm interested in going to China or India as my main places, but wouldn't rule out the Middle East or South America. I do intend on going back to Norway at some point and this could be a cool way of doing it.

Hiya
Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes (in 5th place right now!)
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

hello,
aaww that sucks you wont make china in feb, but you'll get there (or somewhere) eventually! I'm good cheers, tired a lot, tho i don't know why, thinking still of getting bar work, think I will have too, and at least that way I'm earning money, and not tempted by friends to go out all the time!
Should if all goes well be signing up on Friday (oh pay day how I luv it) gonna be proper brassic this coming month thought because of it! How are you finding the course, you having any difficulties with it? or is it smooth rolling, even if it is on ur old comp!
x x
Hey,
How you finding the course? I started but didn't finish the online part, I was ill for the beginning of the year, all the more reason for me to do this now, as you just don't know what life is gonna throw at you next!
I definitely need help with my grammar, but I know I'll get there!
In all honesty if they had the internship in South America, I would be going there, but there is always time, in fact my sis live in the Caribbean, so I would prefer to do the South America's when I have enough to include a stop off in paradise on the way!
Where ever you choose, you know it will be amazing, I may never do teaching English again after the internship, it may not be for me, but at least I will have tried and tested, and I may just do voluntary work after this for a couple of weeks a year, but first I will try and see how I get on and feel.
So other than Iron Maiden, what other bands are you into? I'm more into the lighter rock, more of a grunge grrl myself, though don't mind heavier.
Well keep in touch, maybe we can help each other with the course? and good saving tips, if we find any.
x x Sara

hi,how are you?it sounds like you have a good plan there.i would like to teach english abroad, but its not my native language so its not that easy to get a job.i`m originaly from poland, but for the past 8 years i lived in ireland and uk.i`ve been to norway few times and thought about moving there but learning the language was a bit to much for me.. did you decided yet where would you go?..china..
Hey Gaz, I used to be in the military, so the teaching job was part of that - I was working in the Brazilian Naval Academy in Rio.
Have you settled on where your first stop is going to be? India or China? Or somewhere else?? When are you planning on going?
