Thats great you'll be there. My plans have actually changed since I joined this website, I got a new job that doesn't finish until Aug 2010, so I'm doing the Lion park for 3 weeks starting Feb 1st now (they wouldn't let me have 4 weeks off work!), and then going back to work (how boring!). Hopefully will go to Aus/NZ when job finishes though. Think there are a couple of other girls on the project too.
hey, yes i did the 'work with lions in south africa' and i would fully recommend it, i had the best time of my life, however there are quite a few similar projects now so be sure to look into them aswell. the project was for 2 weeks, which i felt was too short, you can book straight through the lion park itself and they offer for upto 4 weeks i think. i had a great time, the staff and other volunteers were great. there is a few facebook groups so check them out for plenty of pics. if you have any specific questions, just throw them straight at me.
yeh im saving for a working holiday at the minute, where abouts in australia are you from??
Hi Zaleigh!
yep...three weeks tomorrow!! can't wait. I'm doing the help raise lions and tigers project for three weeks. When I get back I'll tell you how it went!!
:)
Think I'll stick to the beginner slopes and hope I don't break any bones! I'm looking forward to it really, just a bit aprehensive because it's something new!
I've not been to Africa myself (which I why I'm so keen to win the ultimate trip!) but you could speak to Kate, who's the South Africa specialist for i-to-i. She's really nice and friendly, and was really helpful when I asked her about a project. Here's the link to her campfire passport: http://www.i-to-i.com/campfire/KateR

Hi, thanks for accepting and welcome to campfire :) Hvae you got any trips planned? I've been bullied into going skiing by 3 of my girlfriends next March... I'm a bit nervous as I've never done anything like that before and am really unco-ordinated! I see you like smowboarding... have you ever skied? Is it as hard as it looks?!
Hope you don't mind me asking, but I was hoping you could spare 2 minutes to read my entry into the Ultimate Trip competition, and vote if you like it. I'd be really grateful!
