The weekend and the beach

Hey guys,

Can't write for long today as Namu is teaching me to make chipati's tonight :) But just wanted to write a short post as I only have 4 days left so not much time left to write.

I had a very full weekend, didn't go to the beach on saturday in the end as a different school came to visit new hope so the kids were busy. Instead, I went to buy some souveniers which was fun and then me and Mary went to Magongo villages to learn about the major kenyan tribes and see some dancing. Was good fun and the people there were really cool.

On the Sunday, I went to Mary's church in the morning and then met the kids ready for a trip to the beach. 33 orphans, me and Violet in the matatu and we were on our way!! It was OK but it wasn't great weather so they got a bit cold and we didn't stay very long. I went crab hunting though and saw lots of star fish, a crab, some tiny fish and shellfish and even a lion fish!

Yesterday I went to the markets with Japheth to get some food, some school ties and some school bags. They went down very well as the kids were really happy with the bags but somehow there weren't enough so I'm going to get a couple more before I go.

Went to school this morning and taught the infant children, some of them are real rascals but they're ok really and we managed to get some maths and English done in the middle of them all needing the toilet all the time, lol.

Got lots to do before I go but hopefully I'll get it all done in the next couple of days.

Better go before I'm late.

Take care everyone and see you soon!
