Hey guys,
time for another exciting installment of Chagit's adventures...
I'm afraid it might not be a long one today as one of my adventures was to the hospital today with food poisoning but hopefully the medicine they gave me will help me to recover quickly and I can come back and tell you some more.
I went on safari with two of the other volunteers at the weekend, it was amazing! We (me, Nat, and Linda) went to Tsavo East and spent two days in the glorious surroundings spotting all sorts of wildlife from huge elephants and buffallo to powerful lions and even tiny little mongoose! It was awesome and I had the most amazing steak of my life for dinner at the campsite. The scenery was just beautiful and I couldn't help but take millions of pictures at every turn... I think that will keep me in stock of monitor wallpaper for a long while yet! lol
We went to the beach on the sunday, rode a camel for an hour and enjoyed the beautiful white sandy shore. The weather wasn't amazing but at least I'm not burned to a crisp, though true to my nature, I still have a really pathetic tan.
I went to a new church on Sunday in Nyali which was cool, the worship was in English and the one song in Swahili was translated into English on the projection.
I went out dancing on Saturday night too which was a lot of fun, I've been teaching the girls at my homestay salsa and I even taught the kids from New Hope some salsa last week. They were so good and it was a really good laugh.
I haven't been to school for the last few days as I've been pretty ill but I'm going to go tomorrow, even if I don't last the whole day.
Anyway, I better go, hopefully you'll hear from me again soon.
Chagit.x.
