Hi Tasha! Yes, I'm very excited... how long will you be doing the building project and when do you start?

That was really easy - they just arranged a bus straight to the project, so we were well looked after. For going home you just get the bus from Samara to San Jose - it's not too scary and there's usually other volunteers making the journey at the same time. In terms of shoes, I took a pair of flip flops and a pair of trainers - you have to do night patrols so you need something a little bit substantial.

Hey,

Hope you have a great time in Buena Vista! I'd say of things to take - books to read, snack/treat type things (I had major sugar cravings while there, but that just might have been me!) and more than one towel, or a towel and sarong. It's just so you can have one for showering and one for lying on the beach. You might also get one night out in Samara before getting the bus back to San Jose, so you might want to take something nice to wear that you can quarantine in the bottom of your bag! After a couple of weeks at Buena Vista, you get seriously smelly :)

Have a great time and if you have any more questions give me a shout!

that's great.... i will only be in helping at the build site for 1 week but would love to chat before we get down there. i do have facebook but am very private... can i search you by your name and location... which is???
