Have fun with the last of your planning. Always bring more money than you think and some going out clothes as well are always useful.
Very cool, it sounds like we will overlap here for about a week. And there will be tons of other volunteers here as well. If you are staying in just Costa Rica you don´t need any anti-malarial medication and of course you don´t in the States either. It´s actually pretty easy here as far as that kind of stuff goes. You can drink the water, you get hot showers for the most part, etc.
Where are you from by the way?
Hey! San Ramon is an amazing place, you should have a lot of fun. When in March are you arriving? There are a ton of volunteers located in San Ramon, I believe there are about 20 of us at the moment, and some other volunteers from different programs so don't worry about being by yourself. There is always lots to do. That was a big surprise for me too but it has turned out really great. The host families are amazing too. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can try to answer them. Otherwise, enjoy getting excited, it is certainly going to be a grand adventure.
