Excited by our Spiti visitor!

Yesterday we had a visitor in our Leeds office. Ishita, who runs the i-to-i projects in Spiti, India came in to see us and gave a presentation about the amazing projects she co-ordinates.

Ishita was lovely (she even brought us presents!) and her presentation painted a fab picture of beautiful mountain scenery, friendly close knit villages and important volunteer work which makes a real difference to the communities we work with.

Spiti is a cold desert which gets very little rain. It is home to many interesting animals from the blue sheep to snow leopards, and has diverse, colourful flora and many facinating fossils dotted around the mountains. It really does look an amazing place and all of us here are now desperate to head over there and get stuck into some volunteering with Ishita and her team!

If you think Spiti might be the place for you, check out more information on the projects here:

I know three of us, myself, my girlfriend and her sister. I will be taken tons of photos and video. As I am taking a camcorder with to India.

Wow, very jealous of you and your girlfriend! There's already 4 bookings accross both Spiti projects in July, and we'd hope to take more over the next few months =)

Make sure you take lots of photos please, we'd love to see!

It does look and sound amazing. That is why I am going in July this year with my girlfriend. She is actually the one that convinced me to go. And upon reading the info on the i-to-i website. I must say I am quite excited to be going. Wondering who else is going on the 8 July 2011?
