Thats funny Rachel I was just looking at your and thinking about how much older the kids look! Unfortunately I didn't get too many pictures but the other volunteer took a ton. Once she sends them to me I will pass them on to you! I am sitting in an internet cafe right now in Bangkok and leaving for New York tonight. Its the end of the trip!
No worries Olivia, I love chatting about Hanoi so it's my pleasure to help :D

Thanks Rachel! So cool I will be at the same place as you! I'm really looking forward to it but a little nervous as well :) I will definitely ask them about you. I'm really looking forward to Halong Bay as well thanks for the advice! I was wondering if you could help me out just one more time...I can't seem to find the email with my password in it! I think it got sent to my spam an then my email erased it! Any idea how I could get it? THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I've done a bit of detective work and I think you're at Phuc Tue too!! Unless there's another Olivia in Hanoi from June 18th then it's you :) You can double check if you log into your online account (the password etc is on the welcome email you received after booking) and look under your placement info.
Say hi to everyone for me, if they remember me from last year. They called me May :D You're going to love it - it's hard work and the staff don't speak much English but you'll be fine, don't worry.
I booked Halong through Hanoi Backpackers. it's a hostel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and a great place to go for beers, a bbq and to meet people in the evening. Here's a link to them: http://www.hanoibackpackershostel.com/ They do lots of other tours and are dead friendly... have a bottle of Bia Hanoi for me if you go!!
Have a fantastic time for the remainder of your time in Vietnam... chatting to you has made me want to head straight back out there!! x
Hey Rachel! Thanks for getting back to me! I'm actually not sure which center I'm volunteering in yet! I requested to work with kids who have special needs but I'd be happy doing whatever. I'm really excited about the experience. I might try and blog while I'm away! I'm in Hoi An right now and I'm having a fabulous time. I've been travelling for a little over a month and think volunteering will be a fantastic way to end the trip! I loved reading your stories and looking at your pictures..it made me excited! What agency did you book your cruise to Halong Bay? I might try and do it next weekend. Thanks again!
Hi Olivia, it;s great to hear you're off to Hanoi - I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time, just like I did :) Do you know where you're volunteering? I was at the Phuc Tue centre, the kids are lovely there :) If you have any questions at all just give me a shout on here. Can't wait to hear all about your trip - will you be blogging while you're away?? x
