Just over one week to go now, excitement is taking over the nerves! I want to stay in touch with home as much as possible and Facebook would be the logical answer normally but I know it isn't easily accessible in china. Does anyone know if I can access it in Xian? Or know of any other easy ways to keep in contact with everyone at the same time?

Hi. I'm going for 5 weeks. It was my last day at work today And the nerves have kicked in but I'm also very excited. Yes I'm staying in the volunteer house, don't know how many other people are there at the moment. I only know of one other person going out on the same day, not on the same flight though unfortunately. Time will fly by & before you know it it will be you leaving! X
Hi Nicky, thanks for your comment. I will be teaching English in the Primary school for two months, so really excited but also very nervous. How long will you be going for? Are there other volunteers going the same time as you also?oh yes any feedback from you, I would really appreciate! Also would be great to see how you are getting on so will look out for your blogs. Will you also be staying in the volunteer house? x
Hi Shem, Are you working in the orphanage? I'm intending on keeping campfire updated while I'm away if possible if not definatly when I get back. I'm excited for me too! Its nice to have feedback from others that have experienced things there is a lack of that for Xian so I'd be glad to help. x

Hi Nicky, glad to see you've signed up to Campfire! I've had confirmation from our in-country team that Facebook is banned in Xi'an. If your friends and family sign up to Campfire and add you as a friend, you can keep them all updated with blogs here as often as you like! We're excited for you!!
