Building in Honduras 2010 - drinking and Queen

So, we've left for Valle De Angeles and the journey takes a little longer than expected due to some pretty serious beer stops, Canada likes a drink I'm told, plus it helps the local Honduran economy! I can't argue with facts like that...

Bohemian Rhapsody comes on the radio and the driver is INSTRUCTED (by me) to turn it UP! Mayhem ensues as we drive through tiny rural villages with Canadians spilling out of the windows of the bus singing...

"I SEE A LITTLE SILLOUHETTE - O - OF A MAN SKAALMOOOUSH KAALLOMOUSH WILL YOU DO THE FANDANGO" (sp)

etc.

Brilliant.

Had possibly the best dinner I've ever had at Elisa's parents house, I'll never forget that BBQ'd chicken and sour cream (Honduras + sour cream = true love) and rice and and and and all I can think about is chicken...

....

....

You'll have to go there yourself and try it, I can't describe it.

I'm back in the room again sorry. So the sun's gone down in Valle De Angeles and everyone's feeling the chill so we press on to the hotel which is a short drive away, get everyone settled in their rooms then Stoewie and I chill on the stupendous rocking chairs in reception. Awesome. Bliss.

We get bored of rocking after 3 minutes and go out to find everyone who left the hotel. They've found the only bar open on a Sunday night and we quickly make this barman's day by drinking the bar dry of beer. Good work Canada!

Stoewie and I violate every rule in our information that night by walking down a dark street, with our passports and all our cash, cameras and bank cards in one palce. Idiots, we didn't mean to and would not recommend this. Luckily nothing happened.

On with the show!

Next day we head over to La Esperanza, our main base for the 2 week trip and I quickly realise that I packed in haste and do not have enough cold weather clothes, we're 3,300 feet up.

I go to bed that night wearing my JEANS.
