Hi everyone,
I'm looking to go on a South Africa (both Cape Town and JBurg) trip in May this year and I was just wondering if anyone has been to South Africa this time of year? It's supposed to be one of the colder months and I don't want to go if it's their winter. HOWEVER, if I wait for June or July as it's World Cup the flights are £2200 compared to the modest £420 in May i've found...
Any advice?? Thanks!
Katie

Hi Katie
I'm from South Africa, the month of may is not too cold compared to June & July,
And if you've experienced an american or european winter, ours is actually childsplay.
Temperatures vary between 18 & 26 degrees celsius. Cape Town usually experiences light rain during winter but not hard enough for an umbrella.
Thanks Holly! I'm so excited about going! I very much doubt my photos will be as good as yours :)
Hi Katie!
I've done SA from August to October & the wildflowers were incredible! Also, the animals are easily seen, especially at the watering holes. Had an awesome time!
I think any time spent in Africa no matter when will be a great experience for you!
Have a great adventure!
Holly
