Yes Alice (who is your in country team leader) will allocate you a room at the Manson Hotel with another arrival of a similar age and on a same sex basis. When I got there everyone was hanging around in reception anyway, then we all had dinner in the hotel that night, I loved it!

Just a quick question about the day I arrive in Mombasa. Will I be sharing a hotel room with other volunteers? If not is there a place where you can meet volunteers who are also arriving?

When abouts did you go to Mombasa? I'm going to be there during the "rainy season" apparently? Do you know how much rain we're talking? Is it like an all day kind of thing or just short periods?

I'm heading to Mombasa in a month and a half! I'll be working at Tumaini and I'm so excited! I saw you wrote a post about you going there. I have a few questions if that's ok?
Can you just pick up a cell phone once you get into Kenya?
What were your week nights/weekends like?
Anything you think I should know? It's my first time to Africa!

Do you know if the Lion Parks provide teeshirts for us to work whilst we are working there ? I see from some videos that I have watched on-line the volunteers are wearing beige tee-shirts or do we just provide our own tee-shirts to work in ? Thanks

I'm going for 2 weeks :) yeah definantely want to do a safari too, can't wait!!
