Enjoying the last few days now. At least the weather has improved and it has been sunny the last 2 days, nicely warm. Today, I took a ferry across the River Plate, the worlds widest estuary to Uruguay to the town of Colonia Del Sacramento. It was well worth it , such a beautiful place I would love to return. Full of cobbled streets, the pace of life is slow and the scenery is beautiful, very very colonial style and the whole of the old town has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its a shame I couldnt go at the weekend when the weather was bad. I would have loved to stay for a few nights but alas time is running out. I think this will be my last blog entry. Tomorrow, Im meeting a couple of volunteers who I met in Posadas in the Recoleta area of Buenos Aires. Here, there is a cemetery where Eva Peron is buried and lots of lovely parks and museums. Yesterday, I went to the Eva Peron museum and it was very interesting. The more I learn about the history of this country the more it fascinates me. Had a good chat with a taxi driver as well about his country. Only two more days left so will make the most of it.
See you all soon
xx
