We hope you're getting excited about Jaipur and have been busily planning your packing list! In answer to your question about the camel safaris, the best person to get in touch with is your coordinator who you can reach at Karnika’s email address is karnika.sunil@i-to-i.com, any issues feel free to get in touch!
Thanks,
i-to-i

have heaps fun in in Jaipur - i loved it and would love to go back!!
i had no idea what i was in for and i just rocked up and took it all in my stride! i worked in a slum school and there were no guidelines at all. in the end i just made it my job to make as many kids as possible have a great time and smile! its very rewarding.
if you want any info pls email me court_bree@hotmail.com

Hey!
Okay...well....Karnika is amazing, she will do anything to accommodate you. Make sure you let her know what it is you want to be doing right away. When i first arrived i was working in a school where the kids were obviously middle class, and they obviously had done work with many other volunteers...it just didn't feel meaningful, so me and the other volunteer talked to Karnika and told her we'd really like to work in a slum school and she set it up for us right away.
I was slightly disappointed in the project as a whole because it felt like it was directed towards the volunteers enjoyment more than the kids' benefit...and it didnt really feel like i was making much of a difference...but i talked to Karnika about this and the other volunteers that are still on the project now have told me that the project has gotten loads better and they finally feel like they're doing something meaningful....so hopefully it will be good for you.
Just plan lots of things to do with kids before you come, and plan for different age groups...like i worked with kids 3-5 sometimes, which was really difficult...but also worked with a group of 10 year olds. And be prepared for major language barriers...make sure all the games and activities you want to do can be explained mainly through physicality....or pictures.
Have fun!! and if you have any questions just ask. x
