Campfire is i-to-i's Travel community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!
Q: What is i-to-i campfire? A: It's the online community of the meaningful travel specialists i-to-i.com
Hey, i'm Lana, I'm 25 from London and love travelling, although I haven't done as much as I would have liked! So far just some of Europe, the west coast of the USA, Thailand, New Zealand and Indonesia. I'm off to Egypt in October and Colombia in April 2012. I'm thinking of an i-to-i trip to Kenya in February then hopefully more of southeast Asia next summer before finally hitting Central and South America in January 2013. But the plans are likely to change, dependent on funds! Also on my list are India, Nepal, Morocco and an overland trip in Africa including climbing Kilimanjaro :)
We've been sending people to volunteer in Africa, Asia, Australasia...

Hiya
Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 4th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Thanks! I'm really excited to have made the final six! Got everything crossed that I can drum up enough support to win this thing!!
Hi Lana! I am donating $1 for every facebook fan that votes for my blog. Please pass it along to your friends! http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Ultimate-Whirl-Tour/169193392732?ref=ts
thank u, good luck to u too!
I'd love to do Ultimate Tanzania too... if I manage to get enough votes to win the blog competition, that's what I'd pick! Plan B though (which seems more likely unfortunatly!) is Cape Town, to work at a project for kids with special needs. I've been swapping emails with Kate from i-to-i about it and it seems great. Like you, I'd love to do some shorter trips too... prob around Europe (I like visitng European cities so am thinking maybe somewhere like Estonia, Finland... anywhere really!) and my friend wants me to go skiing in Austria with her, although I'm a bit hesitant as I'm very uncoordinated!!
If only money wasn't an issue hey? I'd be somewhere different every month...
Would love to go back soon, but I want to go to Africa in 2010 so it'll prob be more like the year after that. I don't have to worry about accomodation in Medellin or Santa Fe which is great, but the air fare isn't cheap and ideally I'd like to do at least 3 weeks so I need to find the time/money first!! You got any trips planned?
Hi Lana, thanks for the friend request and commenting on my blog :)
Glad you want to go to Colombia, so many people write it off as somewhere good to visit. I'm lucky to have family there, I'm trying to spread the word! I went to Spanish classes too, wanted to learn some so I could make more of an effort when I visit next time. It's hard going though! xx
