Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes as the closing date for voting is fast approaching (in 5th place right now!) and SO many people seem to not be able to vote I need extra extra votes!!
This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

I'll probably will do the trip to the Equator if other people from the group are going to do it. Might be a good way to relax and meet people?
I know what you mean about those post-it notes, I've got lists on envelopes, post-its, bits of paper all over my desk at work!
are you on a gap year before uni or something at the moment?
When/where are you flyng from on 6th July?

Hi Joseph!
I'm off to the Galapagos on 6th July too! (well I start travellign from london on 5th July with an overnight stop in Barcelona) When are you flying? I'm going to be out there for 4 weeks before heading to Peru, I'm so ridiculously excited, but also a little scared :S
Would be great to hear how all the preparations are going, is your room full of packing and lists of "don't forget" like mine?

Hola Joseph,
I have sent you the email Greetings from Ecuador. Please let me know if you have received it. My email address is itoiecuador@yahoo.com. As for the facenet against mosquitoes, this is a net that you put over your head to avoid the mosquitoes from biting you. I was looking for some photos of it, and found this link http://www.bestglide.com/Basic_Head_Net_Info.html
As for the Spanish level, I would say the most Spanish you have, the best it will be, since you will be able to give and receive more from the project. There is normally more volunteers at the station, and we have had people with no knowledge of the language. It is possible to survive in a conservation project without Spanish (LOL) . However, you will feel much better if you have at least the basics of the language!
Buen fin de semana!
Gaby
