Let me start by saying I am an animal lover...I love all kinds of animals but ever since relocating to South Africa to work as the i-to-i volunteer co-ordinator at the Lion Park I have completely fallen in love with these wonderfull creatures! It's Donna, left park on 24 August. Must thank Tanita, Keren and you for the lift to the airport. I have travelled quite a lot of the years and have to say without a doubt this was the best holiday ever. I went to try and find myself and have come back feeling better than ever. To just get to sit with those Cubs for hours on end was an amazing experience, somthing I will cherish for ever. I have the most amazing pictures.The bruises & Scratches are almost healed, (well worth it, except the leg). I am already planning to come back, and ideally would love to stay there for a few months, not sure that possible.
How's things at your end, what are your plans?
PS- I didn't take the key for my room, left it in the fridge where the girls wanted it, so hope it did cause to much problem.

Hi ya just wongering did u get any vaccinations when u were going. I have been to SA twice before but never got any vaccinations. I am going to de Lion Park next June, So any tips would be great Thanks
Hi Ali, How is the lion park. I'm due to come out in around 4 months and am starting to get my list of what I need to bring.
I know it is winter when I'm there but what will the weather be like - as bad as English winters? I have combats for whilst working but what about when we go on the safari - shall I just make sure I have some cardigans/hoodies?
I am so excited - everytime (which is almost all the time) I think about it, it feels like I'm going to burst :)
Are the mosquitos as bad in the winter as they are in the summer?

Hi Ali, I'll be at the lion park in august, I was wondering if you know what kind of electrical outlets they have there? I'm a photographer, so i'll be bring some equipment with me and wanted to know if I should be looking into solar paneled chargers. Thanks! Can't wait till August!

I am coming out to the Lion park in JuIy and really really excited - 179 days to go!!!!
I think I have everything covered.....flights are booked, will be booking my insurance within the next few weeks :)
One thing (for now, no doubt there will be more q's soon) - unfortunately, I'm not able to carry on travelling overland so will be leaving after Pretoria (I'm staying an extra night due to a mix up but that isn't a bad thing) -- how easy is it to get a transfer back to the airport? Thats my only concern at the moment.
Its good to know a face that I'll be meeting our there.

This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective.
