About Me

My thirst for travel came from my job at Thomas Cook. I have been to Australia working with Thomas Cook, New York, Washington DC, Florida, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and few places in europe but I am yet to explore the rest of the world. You could say that I have been held back from doing all the travelling I dreamed of due to the fact I had a fiance for the last 9yrs. Now though due to situations beyond my control, I am free to do as I please. Seeing the trip on i-to-i to work with Lion Cubs inspired me and now I cannot wait until 25th April 2010. I am also studying to become a vet nurse so I hope to be finished it by the time I jet off to South Africa. I am hoping that this trip will open up new avenues for me and I would love to do more volunteer work with animals.

Hi Gem, I read your comment on LACarr's journal about her adventures at the Lion Park. It 's a pity that you had to cancel your booking. But I noticed that you maybe will try again next year. If it should be in March/April 2010, maybe we will met there.

This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on.
