Hi there,

I'm Alyssa. If nothing else, you should know that I am incredibly passionate! I believe that when all is said and done my purpose is to love, unconditionally, the people and the world around me. I also love the quote, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." I whole heartedly believe it to be true that ours dreams can lead to much greater things, however I like to think that "Now" belongs to those who can make their dreams fly. I avidly crave peace and hope that by the end of my life I can look back and see that maybe, just maybe, I will have help change at least one person's life for the better.

If money and time were no object, then honest to goodness I would go EVERYWHERE and do EVERYTHING!!!!!!! All my life I have wanted to travel the world, living and learning from everyone and every experience. If I truly never had to worry about cost or time my trip would never end.
I'm not sure as to where I would start, and it really wouldn't even matter because I could go anywhere at any time. I would spend months in Thailand living with the monks, or go to live for a time in India working in orphanages and learning their traditional dances and songs. I would spend lazy days in England being a photographer. Go hiking through New Zealand or lounge the days away laying on a beach in the caribbean. The list goes on and on and on...

However, I wouldn't want my trips to be just about me and what I could do for myself. I crave peace like no hippie ever has before! My passions in life will undoubtably lead me to be a starving artist fighting for the worlds wrongs to be righted, but if things like money and time was no object, then I could truly help the countless people crying out from all corners of the globe. I would want to go to Uganda and help to build schools and home for the thousands of people living in I.D.P. camps. I would work with farmers all around the glob as they strive to produce healthy organic foods. I would work with Toms shoes and make countless deliveries of shoes to people around the world. I would aid and promote fair trade. I would work in orphanages doing what ever I could to make this world a better place for the children. I would use some of my God given gifts, singing and dancing, and share them with anyone and everyone in the hopes that the beauty of art would bring a little joy and peace into their lives. I would do all of these things and so much more!!! I could go on talking for forever on the many many things I would love to do.

Regardless of winning an amazing trip like this or not, I plan to spend all of 2010 traveling the world, adventuring, learning, and working with various humanities organizations and none profit organizations, artists groups, and individually. As of know I have no clue how I will finance my adventure, I just know it's what I need to do.

I hope that there are millions of other people out there who are just a passionate as I am when it come to living whole heartedly and reveling in the awesomeness of our world!!!
