Costa Rica - sun, surf and jungle in only 3 days!

I know I'm about to make everyone jealous with this blog but I just can't help it - sorry! At least I know that most of you will have amazing trips to look forward to yourselves and perhaps some of you will actually be going to one of these trips in Costa Rica too - lucky things! I had the privilege of accompanying some interested journalists on a whistle stop tour of Costa Rica and...

We love a happy ending!

In June 2010 i-to-i Volunteer & Adventure Travel worked with Thomson Sport to help one of our projects in the Cape Town while the World Cup was on. Aided by keen England footie fans and journalists one of our disadvantaged projects in Masiphumele township (http://www.i-to-i.com/volunteer-projects/care-for-children-in-masiphumelele-south-africa.html) got a facelift with a brand new classroom. A team of extremely hard working fans and journalists built this classroom in just one day to totally revamp the cramped and...

Hiya
Hope you don't mind but I'm shamelessly begging for votes (in 5th place right now!)

This competition literally means everything to me. I'm now truly beginning to discover who I am, and find the path I need to be on. Winning this trip of a lifetime, one that from a financial point of view I cannot ever really seeing myself being able to afford, would literally change my life, shake up my world and give me another perspective. I beg of you to vote for me more than any other competitor, because not only would I use up every single second of it to the nth degree and make the absolute most of it, I think it would make the most of me. A way to make new connections, spark new possibilities, and give light and hope. A trip to expand and explore, my location and my own mind. A trip. Of a lifetime. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Hi- thanks for accepting my friend request!
And I have to say ur picture is very cool :D where was that taken?
I hate to bother people but I would love it if you could have a look at my entry for the Ultimate Adventure campfire, and vote for me if you like it. I'm currently on my gap year and this opportunity sounds really special.
Here's the link to my entry:

Thank you so much,
Annabelle

I didn't get the chance to volunteer when I was in Vietnam unfortunately as I was there on work. We work with a number of orphanages in Ho Chi Minh which all need help from volunteers to give the kids a bit of extra attention. They are lovely kids with great enthusiam, energy and smiles! You'll get the most out of it if you come armed with some simple activities to get you started e.g. games, milling activities. The staff will not always ask you to do things as you're a visitor so dive in there, get stuck in and try to speak a bit of Vietnamese - it goes a long way!

Did you volunteer in Vietnam anywhere?

ah thanks !!! yeah i really cant wait now !!

Hi Martin, it's going to be hot, that's for sure! But then it always it in Vietnam, the other thing to know is that it will be wet, this means big downpours at certain times of the day. I've included a link that gives you more info for Ho Chi Minh: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/city_guides/results.shtml?tt=TT002930
Don't worry it won't rain all day like it does in Ireland but the heat will build up and then you'll get heavy rain to relieve the pressure.
I have been to Vietnam and it's a great country. You're probably best off getting a travel guide to read as they will be able to tell you more than I can over this post. A couple of things to mention are the traffic - crossing the road is chaotic but the team will show you how! Also, Vietnamese are very polite they will often say "yes" when the answer is "no" to avoid upset so be sure to double check what you have agreed.
Other than that, have a great time in Vietnam, you'll love it I'm sure!
Beary.

Hi I am going to vietnam on July 3rd till 31st of July can you tell me if you know what will the wather be like also if you have been to vietnam can you give me some info thanks???????
